About the directory
A reading list for
fans of Hyrule.
ZeldaBooks is an independent, curated guide to every book worth opening if you love The Legend of Zelda, from the official manga to novels that capture the same sense of wonder.
Why we built this
We're Zelda fans and parents. We know the Breath of the Wild obsession from both sides: the kid who wants to stay in Hyrule, and the parent who wants them reading.
There was no single place to find every Zelda book, compare them, and get honest recommendations. So we built one.
What you'll find here
Every book includes age recommendations, reader guidance, and honest editorial commentary. We organize by game, by type, and by age, so you can find exactly what you're looking for.
Official manga
Akira Himekawa's adaptations and other Nintendo-licensed series.
Art books & lore
Concept art, developer histories, and the deepest Hyrule lore.
Strategy guides
Walkthroughs, maps, and shrine solutions for every major title.
Novels Zelda fans love
Fantasy with the same spirit: portal adventures, magical worlds.
How we review
Every book on this site has been read, handled, or thoroughly researched by someone who cares about both Zelda and reading. We flag age suitability clearly, note content parents should know about, and tell you plainly when a book isn't worth your time.
We don't do five-star ratings. We do honest recommendations for specific kinds of readers: the reluctant middle-grader, the lore obsessive, the adult who wants coffee-table art.
An independent fan resource
